About

You've heard the hype, Duluth has some pretty good bike trails. They are so good in fact that the International Mountain Bike Association has awarded Duluth gold level status, 1 of only 6 in the world! With nearly 100 miles of purpose built mountain bike trails that connect Duluth parks, there is plenty of trail to choose from. From the flowy Duluth Traverse to the rock rolls and drops of Piedmont. Each trail and park has a unique terrain and flow. Trails range from smooth, tree-covered paths that are perfect for the new rider to fast rocky descents and steep uphills that will make even the experienced rider sweat.

Enjoy taking on the trails with a Specialized Fat Boy (full suspension Stumpjumper available) and a guide who knows exactly where to pedal. We customize each tour to best fit the skill and comfort level of each group. Point to point and private tours are also available! For scheduling within 24 hours of the desired departure time, you will need to call or email us for availability (you will not be able to book online).

DULUTH AREA Mountain bike TOURS

Lester Park - Beautiful views of the river valley and smooth, flowing singletrack trails are what you'll find when you ride Lester. There are a handful of rocky and rooty sections that will test your technique. This is a great option for riders of any skill level.

Mission Creek - Fast and flowing singletrack with many bridges, berms, and rollers.  This trail network traverses through a dramatic, heavily forested, landscape with spectacular views of the St. Louis River Valley and Jay Cooke State Park. Great for intermediate and advanced riders.

Hartley Park - Hartley is a beautiful park with some great hardwood forests, an open grassland marsh and a large rock bluff.  Some trails are fairly rocky and rooty, which lead to some technical challenges, but are not overly difficult.  Many of the new reroutes are quite smooth and have nice flow to the design. There are several punchy climbs with enough rocks and roots to make choosing the right line important, but there aren’t any lung busters, just rolling hills.

Piedmont/Brewer Park - The trail is now 12 miles long, with numerous bridges and features. The terrain in this area lends perfectly to technical mountain bike riding. Significant elevation changes and large rocky bluffs provide endless options for the adventurous mountain biker. If you want to get sendy, there are many rock rolls and big drops to max out just about any suspension.

ABOUT

Our scenic bike tour is a great option for those who want to see more of the the area without riding the off-road trails. Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin are home to many miles of low traffic roads that snake over the undulating and forested hills. Many of the roads head deep into the Laurentian Forest and touch into the Boreal Forests of Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Our guides will take you along the best roads of the scenic North Shore and North Woods that are spotted with wildlife and spectacular views. They will also share their knowledge of the areas natural and geological history of the area.

The North Shore terrain varies from easy rolling roads that are perfect for the recreational and/or younger riders to impressive uphills that will challenge even the experienced riders. Before your tour, our guides will plan the perfect route based on your skill level and the intensity you wish to ride.
Our tours will generally leave from the East end of Duluth and head into the countryside from there. We will ask for your sizing information prior to the tour date so we can have properly fitted gear ready to go. If you need transportation, please let us know ahead of time.

DULUTH AREA Scenic bike TOURS

Scenic 61 - Ride along the scenic Highway 61 that stretches from Duluth north to Canada (we won't make it that far). Cruise along the rocky shore line of the worlds largest lake! Push yourself and match speed with an ore boat as it heads out into the open water!

Hawk Ridge - Riding from Brighton Beach we will head of the winding 7 bridges road. We will ride along Amity Creek as we gain elevation. The hill may be large, but the view from the top is definitely worth it! On our way back down the hill we can check out some crushed gravel paths or let gravity take over and cruise right back down the hill.

The Lakewalk - A paved bike trails that stretches from 60th Ave East in Duluth to Canal Park. The Lakewalk will take us right through most of Duluth right up to the Ariel Lift Bridge. The trail is smooth with little elevation change.

Munger trail - Starting by the Duluth Zoo it slowly gains elevation as you ride south. With no road crossings and a wide paved trail, this is a great option for families with young kids.

Scenic paved and gravel roads - From Highway 61 along Lake Superior to seldom traveled logging roads, Duluth and the surrounding area has hundreds of miles of beautiful roads to pedal. If you're looking for a bit more of a challenge, this is a good bet.
