Superior Hiking Trail - Starting just south of Duluth and running 296 miles uninterrupted all the way to Canada, the Superior Hiking Trail cuts through varying terrain on the North Shore. The trail ranges from wide paved paths to rocky scrambles. The trail cuts across Duluth providing nearly 43 miles of exploration in the midst of the city!

Jay Cooke State Park - Almost 50 miles of trail located just south of Duluth, trails that wind under towering white pines & along the beautiful St. Louis River. Trail options range from easy to difficult & get more challenging as you move further away from the parking headquarters.

Hawk Ridge Nature Reserve - The ridge overlooking Duluth's East End is home to a variety of lesser known hiking trails. The trails cover thickly forested & rocky terrain. These quiet trails make for a perfect great wilderness experience within city limits! Hawk Ridge is one of the premier places in all of North American to watch the fall raptor migration.
